CLICK ON REGISTRATION LINK for the respective league you want to play for.  MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT LINK FOR THE CORRECT LEAGUE!

  1. A US Lacrosse ID is no longer required
  2. After choosing your correct league registration link, complete basic demographic information
  3. CHOOSE YOUR TEAM if known by typing in your team "Preference" so that we may place you according to your first preference.  For many, that can be a high school or town, but you can even mention "I want to play on ________ 's team"!
  4. We will place you on your preferred team first come first serve up until maximum roster size (see below)
  5. Complete online payment and CHECK YOUR EMAIL for a registration receipt and confirmation!  If you do not receive one, we do not have your registration.  An error has occured.

Other Notes to Consider:

23 Position Players and 2 Goalies for High School Teams

20 Position Players and 2 Goalies for Middle School Teams

16 Position Players Minimum and 2 Goalies Max up to 22 Players Total for the Greenhead League

We must have a minimum of 100 players in each of the Girl's and Boy's Leagues to run properly.

We reserve the right to cancel the league, and refund your money if we do not have the minimum amount of players!

Pro League players are "invited" to play by their Team Reps or Captains, but CAN register online indiviudally.  A pro team must be approved by the League Directors.

Each Pro League team is either a High School or Club Team that commits to entering an entire team up to 23 position players and 2 goalies.

In a Message To Our Coaches-May 10 2011

INSIDE LOOK at North Shore Lacrosse Brought to you by: Jungle, Inc. Corporate Promotions to Team Apparel. We got it.

In the best interest of transparency on how we try to build the best league you can be part of, from time to time I will post internal documents that gives a peak into how we operate.  For parents and players, we do our best to make the league(s) GREAT.

Coaches, Staff, and Club Directors,
Please forward to those who this may apply to if not in my list.

As we approach another great summer of catching up with old friends, some down time here and there, and of course, summer league lacrosse, I wanted to reach out to those who will be part of our Programs and provide updates, a point of contact, and additional clarifying information.

First and foremost, in our 9th year we have institued several new inititatives to give our parents and players a deeper sense of security by requiring that all coaches and staff be first aid and CPR certified.  Athletic Trainers and EMT's will still be at all games for all of our protection!  You have all been informed multiple times and we have even offered a program at Endicott College where anyone can certified!  However, you must let us know if you will need to be part of that course, or receive instruction on your own.  This is simple-if you do not get certified by June 17th you cannot coach with or work for North Shore Lacrosse.

Bio's and Pictures-if you have not done so already, please provide them to me.  This information speaks volumes about who we hire as coaches.  We know you are all true professionals and we want to promote that!

Team Selection in terms of who you will be coaching:  This is the last piece of the puzzle for us as we formulate teams (Club Teams are coached by their own club coaches and are no longer paid by North Shore Lacrosse).  Once we know how many teams we have in each respective league, we will assign you a team.  Veteran coaches usually get first choice, while newer coaches will be assigned.  Middle School League coaches are vital!!!  Those who coach these teams will get a thorough review of format, rules, and expectations.

Payment: All coaches and staff will be required to provide information for a 1099 which we will collect at our first meetng.  By law, if you earn more than $600 you must report it to the IRS.  We will submit our payroll to our accountant at the end of the year and those who have made more than $600, including referees, will be subject to tax liabilities that are your responsibility.  All Varsity League and Middle School League coaches receive a $35/game salary.

PRO LEAGUE and/or CLUB TEAM COACHES are NOT paid by North Shore Lacrosse, but are given a team discount as a result.  The Club team discount is 18 players x registration fee plus $200 for goalies.  A Club Team can have a maximum of 23 position players, hence a hefty discount of 5 position players more than accounts for what a coaching salary would be.  ANY CLUB TEAM that does not have a minimum of 18 position players are subject to North Shore Lacrosse providing "club caliber" players to ensure competitive games.  These players are selected by North Shore Lacrosse as free agents and are not expected to or required to be part of club team practices.

For Varsity and Middle School leagues if you want to be selected to coach multiple games on multiple nights we have instituted a program that will allow you to earn great money and have plenty of hours for a great job.  These highly selective and important positions will pay $25/game due to the high volume of hours you could potentially coach.  For example, if you are selected to do this, you would work a minimum of 4 hours per night for the Boys for a minimum of one night per week (up to three nights per week max).   This option does not exist for the other leagues as of now, however if we have a strong middle school following in either BOYS or GIRL'S, this option would exist for those programs.

***SELECTION for these limited summer position(s) are based on resume, experience with North Shore Lacrosse, references, and availability.  Please submit a cover letter exhibiting your interest, capabilities, and availabilities EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED A RESUME FOR THIS YEAR.  You must be able to work from 5:30-10 PM on either Tues/Wed/and/or Thursday evenings.  We reserve the right to choose just one or none.

Finally, we will once again have a full staff meeting prior to our June 20th start.  A managers only meeting will take the first week of June while a second ALL STAFF meeting will take place during the week of June 13th, date and time (early evening) to be finalized.

Please let me know if you have any questions so far!  There wil be more information forthcoming.
